Winter Event, plans for 2017
Winter Event, plans for 2017
Today we have a perfect crisp winter's day here in Brampton Bryan - the perfect prospect for our Winter Event that launches our Christmas selling season. There is 10% off books, cards, xmas cards, Simon Drew products, and soft toys! And there is a whopping 20% off our prices for maps, prints and watercolours. I have been buying lots of the latter recently and there are some wonderful presents including original 1950's fashion sketches from £15 (pre-discount price). If you miss the bargains you are going to be sorry.
Later on this morning Brian Lammas will be here playing with his eponymous trio. Brian has a wonderful range of musical loves, and he has promised to fit in as many as he can during his two sets. For children there is the chance to make Christmas/Winter crafts with Annie in the BookBurrow. A brilliant day is in prospect.
I have been out of the building for a few days and it is amazing how things can change in a short period of time. Petra and Katy have completed the installation of our new shelves in the main room and the place is looking really brilliant. The Christmas tree is up and we also have twinkling Christmas lights decorating the front room. With the recent cold snap it is hard not to think about the festival and the prospects ahead for the New Year.
With that thought in mind I have started work on a new show for Spring 2017. Perhaps our most ambitious exhibition yet and one that I have been wanting to put on for some time. All will be revealed on the website when we launch our 2017 programme next month.
