Independent Bookshop Day, Car Boot Sunday 24th October, books and thanks
Amazingly another year has gone round and it is once again Independent Bookshop Day. I have been so heartened by the way in which the dreaded pandemic has not resulted in lots of bookshop closures - in fact bookshop numbers have grown over the last year which is incredible, with a new shop opening in Yorkshire this weekend. This year we have some special gifts to give away all weekend so do come in and see us.
Also on another subject a quick note to say that the stalls are going quickly for the Car Boot on the 24th of October and therefore if you want to do the event you should ring up and reserve your place shortly. This will sadly be our last event of the year - I have reluctantly decided not to do a Christmas Fair as it gets very crowded - so sign up now to avoid disappointment.
Thank you again for the farmers Brian Vale, Geoff and Richard Williams for lending us the fields and thus allowing the events to run. We are truly grateful as ever.
Finally we have started to have lots of online and shop sales for our autumn, Christmas items including cards and calendars and the new Simon Drew Tea Towels are proving particularly popular.
