Cecily Book Launch - visions of the before time

Thank you so much to Anna Dreda for organising last night's event and Annie Braithwaite for writing Cecily and coming to the bookshop to talk about it.

The 30+ people who came to hear Annie were transfixed by her explaining how she came to write the book, and by the passages from the book that she read out. It was a real treat for all of us and thanks again to all those who came.

On the Aardvark events front I can confirm that our Bank Holiday Monday Car Boot will feature the exceptional playing of Nick Hurt and his Blue Moon Band. Nick last played for us in 2019 and it will be another sign of the return to normality that he is coming back to see us. So even if your house is full of stuff and you don't need any more you still have a great excuse to come out and celebrate life at Aardvark Books.

Finally to confirm the announcement you may have seen there is no Scarecrow Festival taking place tomorrow. Please do not come out expecting to see scarecrows ( I know it is a long time since I had a haircut but I really don't count!)
