More Upbeat Frankfurt; planning for Brocante
Back from the bookfair on Monday and straight back into the office on Tuesday. I confess that by today the weekend is catching up with me - airports are always energy sapping - but I am energised by the thought that the books that we bought at the fair are due to arrive in the shop tomorrow.
Thinking about the fair in general, the atmosphere amongst most of those I spoke to seemed to be somewhat more positive. I get the feeling that the booktrade (or what remains of it), is feeling a little more positive than it was a year or so ago. Certainly we had a very good fair, and in addition to buying books, we also sold a lot of books to mostly German buyers who came to our stand.
Plans for the Brocante are well underway, and we have a good number of stalls booked. I have booked adverts in the local papers, and we should have plenty of signs out on the road. Lets hope for good weather, and as good a turn out as we had last year.
