Winter Event - Bill Sewell, Jobs at Aardvark

This morning we are getting ready for our Winter Event ( the official start of our Christmas selling season), and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Bill Sewell who is going to be talking about his fantastic restaurant cafés in Hereford and Cambridge and offering some delicious samples. Later on we have Trevor Davies with his guitar/vibes trio. What a treat on a dull overcast day.

Many thanks to all of you who have called us about the job position in the café. We have temporarily filled this as Annie who has been our children's crafts supremo has stepped into the breach until Christmas. Once we are back in the New Year we will have another look at this so watch this space.

This year we bought a lot more books in Frankfurt so it is taking me a while to get through them and put them out into the shop ( not helped by our having made some other large purchases recently that needed to be sorted out). I am three quarters of the way through, but there are still lots of beautiful art, antiques, decorative arts and design books to come out. Lots to look forward to.

Don't forget that today there is 10% off everything in the shop including cards and Christmas cards, together with a great selection of £1 stocking fillers upstairs. Get everything sorted for Christmas early.

 

Off course if you have one or two presents left to buy don't forget our Christmas fair on the 10th of December. Lots of stalls and great music from Dutch Lewis and his trio.
