Shropshire Hills Art Week, May Brocante, Travel Books
Have had a couple of days thinking about this year's Shropshire Hills Art Week. Our exhibition curated by Shannon Donovan and Andrew Eastwood is called 'Shropshire Boogie-Woogie' and is a celebration of life, movement and creativity in South Shropshire and beyond.
The show opens on the 4th June and I cannot wait to see what it looks like when it is all completed. Meanwhile there is another day and a bit to enjoy this year's Aardvark Map Exhibition. This year's exhibition was by far the most difficult to put together and I was extremely gratified by the positive comments that it has garnered.
The May Brocante is only two weeks away and we are still taking bookings for tables. Should be a fantastic mixture of stalls, so whatever you do don't miss it.
And finally a plea. If you like travel books, do try to visit us in the next couple of weeks. I have bought a lot of foreign travel books recently and the shelves are starting to groan (and there are still lots more to put out). The new detective fiction section is also starting to get crowded. Lots more art books to put out as well, so the shop will soon be looking as full as it has ever been.
