First day of aardvark sale, job applications, cold weather, thoughts on the year

Today is the first day of the Aardvark instore sale. In addition to our usual fantastic reductions we are offering an extra 10% off on all purchases ( including cards etc). We also have specials in store and the return of our bargain tent with all adult books at £0.50 and kids books at an incredible £0.20. And there are also other bargains throughout the shop. How could you resist.

A frosty start to this morning with the needle firmly in the negative column. Fortunately things are starting to warm up and in the shop the wood burner is roaring away making everything feel toasty. We have enough winter to last us through a very long winter, but hopefully we won't have to use it.

Aspects of our year's programme are still being worked out, although all the building bricks are in place.It is always worth checking the website for details as we do update it as soon as more information is available. We are even starting to think about 2017, with a few events pencilled in ( including the return of the very popular English Civil War Society in August 2017).
