June starts with a bang
June starts with a bang
June has started just as May ended. With full on activity in the bookshop, exhibition space and the café. In our pop up gallery we are hosting a big group exhibition curated by Shannon Donovan for the inaugural Shropshire Hills Art Week. Over the first three days we have had 250 people through the exhibition with lots of good comments and sales!
Later in the month we host an exhibition curated by Drusilla Cole , showcasing, artist books, prints and book illustration. Dru's exhibitions are always interesting and this one - Carve, Collage, Ink and Print -is no exception.
Also this month we have a raft of bookings for the café. Yesterday we had an art group, today we have a social club, and next week we have a group of archaeologists from Worcestershire. Between the different parts of the business all has been full on and I am starting to long for my holiday in the summer.
Also this month we have the great excitement of a concert in Brampton Bryan by Jordi Savall the world famous Catalan early music pioneer. The concert is on the 20th of June and tickets are selling quickly, but there are still a few available either from Aardvark Books or from the Gregynog festival website. Don't miss out!
