Bank Holiday Monday - Vide Grenier hoorah!
Bank Holiday Monday - Vide Grenier hoorah!
So the Bank Holiday Monday has finally arrived and we have a dry if overcast morning here in Brampton Bryan ( centre of the universe). Still what better way to spend a slightly drab Bank Holiday Monday than at Aardvark Books, the home of fun. We have nearly 30 stalls of bric-a-brac, plants, textiles and much more, live music from Blue Moon Blues from 11am, and free children's craft activities with Annie in the Bookburrow.
After today we will be continuing to get ready for our special celebration of J L Carr on Saturday 1st of September. This includes a showing of the new print of the film made of Carr's 'A Month in the Country' and sessions by Matthew Engel ( prolific author and Carr fan), Eileen Baker and others. Not to be missed.
In the meantime we will also be continuing to process some of the thousands of books that we have bought over the last month. This has probably been our busiest summer for purchasing ever and there are still lots of great books waiting to hit the shelves.
But for today why not finish up breakfast and come and join us for a special Bank Holiday celebration!
