H.Art, Ludlow Food Fair, Craaaaazy!
Also yesterday we were doing book signings with Harold Middleton of Bakeoff fame, who has a new book out on gluten-free baking. What a charming man and extremely funny. The book is a great present for any-one you know who has given up flour in their diet. Today we have Luis Troyano and Lee Watson whose 'Peace and Parsnips' is a fantastic vegan cookbook.
In Wigmore at 3pm there is a chance to hear bestselling author Phil Rickman talking about his latest book ( special release pre-publication copies available at the talk from the Aardvark Bookstall), and back at the bookshop at 11am this morning we are launching our 2015 H.Art exhibition, a fantastic group show of textiles, painting, calligraphy, lettering and sculpture.
I think it would be fair to say that we are in for a busy weekend.
Next week things will be a bit more back to normal, although I am expecting the H.Art exhibtion to bring in lots of people as ours is one of the biggest shows this year. I am really hoping that there will also be time to start to process some of the fantastic books that I have been buying recently. Sales have been excellent recently and some gaps are appearing on the shelves ( always anathema to me), and we have the books to fill them. Just got in some great architecture/interiors books, a huge pile of recent paperback fiction and much more besides. Come in and see us and I may have been able to draw breath by then. Ah the quiet contemplative life of a bookseller.
