Busy day

Just when I thought that Christmas orders had dried up, I came in this morning to a big pile of new internet orders. Its a truism, but Christmas really does get later every year. My first customer arrived 15 minutes before the shop opened, and it has been like that pretty much ever since. Obviously the dull weather has persuaded people to come out, and what better place to head for than Aardvark Books with its roaring woodburner.

One downside is that we have now sold out of my top Christmas present recommendation 'Subterranean London'. What a brilliant book, and one that I will continue to recommend to putative present buyers (even if we are out of stock).

Fortunately the shop is heaving with many other wonderful present ideas, and we are open our normal hours up until 5pm on Christmas Eve. We're Closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (25th and 26th) and on New Year's Day (1st January) but otherwise we'll keep a warm welcome for all comers!
