CVs, Sale and more and more books

Cvs are starting to come in for the bookshop assistant job, but there is still lots of time to apply ( deadline is the 5th of February). We are particularly interested in talking to any-one who has experience of selling online, or who has a background in retailing.

This morning's drive into work was idyllic - frost on the fields, but none thankfully on the road - and the setting around the bookshop is looking at its most beautiful. We are now all set up for the sale which starts on Saturday. There will be 10% off every book in the shop, our usual 50pence tent in the warehouse, and lots of other specials throughout the shop. A real chance to grab an even bigger bargain.

Meanwhile whilst I should be thinking about selling books in the sale, I have been spending my time buying books from people who have been bringing them into the shop. Bought some good fiction yesterday, and I have many boxes still to work through from the week before. Of the processing of boks there is no end.

Thank you those of you who have emailed suggestions for my A-Z of crime writers. One reader suggested Catherine Aird who has just won a Silver dagger from the CWA, but I confess I am yet to try one of her books, and it would not be fair therefore to comment. Hope that you enjoy the subsequent installments.
