Roadworks, new philosophy library and lots of CDs
Balfour Beatty have just written to us to say that the A4110 at Adforton will be closed (but see previous update) from Wednesday-Friday 24th-26th of January from 9.30-15.30 each day. If you are planning on visiting Aardvark during those days and are coming up from the south you might like to take an alternative - and very scenic - route. If you turn left at Mortimer's Cross and go through Shobdon and turn right at Combe, it only adds approximately 5 minutes or so to the journey (after you leave Lingen take the third road on the left and then take the right hand fork immediately after and you will come to Aardvark Books within 5 minutes).
Roadworks are always a pain, but in this case the road surface is terrible and we are all very much looking forward to not having to slalom around the few bits of tarmac which are still in tact.
This week I have been out buying philosophy books and classical music CDs in Cambridge. It will take some time to process these books, but there are some very interesting titles amongst them. Still got a number of boxes of books to work through that cover art, architecture and related areas. Truly it never stops!
Aardvark is open through the winter as usual, and so far January has been quite busy - particularly in the café. This is a great time to come and see us, as it is often beautiful weather (if cold) and the shop is not as busy as later in the year.
