And so the new year turns
And so the new year turns
It is frankly incredible that we are already a month in to the New Year and our plans for the next twelve months have pretty much now fallen into place. Many thanks to Jules McRobbie for starting and making such a success of the Shropshire Hills Art Week for the last four years.
SHAW built every year and we will be extremely sorry to not run an exhibition under its banner this June. In its place we will have a new event - Marches Art 2018 - an Aardvark exhibition that has been conceived and curated by Kim and Maggie Davies. We are extremely excited by what they have in mind and can't wait to give you the line up of the artists and craftspeople we will be working with ( many new to Aardvark ).
Before then we have the double one-man sculpture shows of works by Paul Caton and Paul Bearman. Paul Caton will be marking fifty years of his work as a creative artist, and we are delighted that he has picked Aardvark to bring the show together.
Finally we continue to process many of the thousands of books that we have purchased over the last six months. Friday brought a big group of marches books into stock, whilst we have also be bringing out numberous books on classics, music, film and philosophy. Speaking of Film Aardvark are the lead sponsor for the Borderlines showing of 'The Bookshop' , a new film with Bill Nighy based on the book by Penelope Fitzgerald.
