Don't despair we will still be here, and bookshop.org is here now too!

Lockdown is coming and the goose is getting fat, but don't worry your favourite independent bookshop (yes I'm feeling boastful this morning) will still be here available to send out orders by post or to leave them in our drop off boxes outside.

Last time we heard from many of you and were able to send out books and cards to people all over the country and overseas. I am hoping that this time will be no different. We have some great new books waiting to go into stock over the next few weeks and we will be spending the time when we would normally be chatting with customers on new plans and projects. Don't think that Mr Aardvark has exhausted his fund of strange ideas.

Aardvark was one of the first independent booksellers to sign up to the UK version of bookshop.org (https://uk.Bookshop.org/ ) and one of our lists is featured on the front page (Hellooo Sunshine!). We have lots of other lists available on our bookshop page on the site and new combos are forming in my mind.

So, Nil Desperandum: Christmas and Aardvark will both be around to cheer every-one up, and in 2021 I have got some fantastic plans starting with our Easter Saturday Garden Car Boot sale (yes, its just a combination of our usual Easter Garden day and our new car boot but now is not yet the time for originality). Lots of socially distanced fun on Saturday 3rd April 2021!
