Vi pp + 313 pages with a 16 page publishers catalogue at the rear with the latest G A Henty and other boys writers books. This book is undated but states "the Late G A Henty" so I assume 1902-3? Their is a frontispiece by Laurence Houseman and 30 illustrations by Arthur Hughes. Embossed cloth with a gilt spine and line design to front of boards; , some sporadic foxing to the prelims, but mostly clear and good+, no loose leaves and no inscriptions. I would think this is the FIRST edition with an illustration by Houseman.
