Artists featured:
Heather Ensor
I've been painting since I was five or six years old. As well as canvases I paint pottery, furniture and whatever I can lay my hands on. I have been painting professionally since the late 1980s, when I used to have a small shop called "Three Pine Mice" where I made, painted and sold pine furniture and painted up old pieces to give them a new lease of life: since then it has become seriously fashionable. I love to paint, draw and make things: it's my life and I enjoy immensely what I do.
Rosie Mark
Animal and human portrait artist based in Leintwardine, member of the Association of Animal Artists. I have exhibited widely and also undertake private commissions.
My style is realistic and I love to capture the character of my subjects, using acrylic paints, oils or pastel.
Jane Wells
Although having created and painted all my life, at this stage I am enjoying pastels and was more than delighted when I had one of my pieces accepted by the Mall Gallery, London last May 2023. Many new ideas for 2024 using pastel, oil and watercolour.
Mark Whittle
‘I use mainly watercolour pencils when completing life and nature works, sometimes adding a colour wash for softness. Where appropriate, I love adding gold or silver ink.
Pencil is also a favoured medium. Recently I have thoroughly enjoyed creating an animal, initial alphabet for cards and prints, to which I have now added mugs and water bottles’.
